Senior Events & News 

WTN Introduction – Some key points – All Ireland player rating system to cover tennis in every province, aims to ensure that all players will get appropriate play at all levels of the game, if you win against stronger players your WTN goes up, if you lose to weaker players your WTN goes down. TI has initially selected WTN bands 1-6 for open competition in Munster however as we transition from the directory to WTN, players WTN may not align directly with the band intended to replace a player’s grade, this will correct itself over time as players matches are recorded by WTN. 

Social Club Nights –  Next Club nights are Wednesday 11th Feb & Thursday 26th Feb. A message will be shared on our community WhatsApp group at the beginning of the week with details on when you can book your place via e-booking.

Whitechurch TC Box Ladders –  Round 3 continues for both the XD and Singles ladders. Please ensure all matches are completed by 18th February, with Round 4 commencing on 19th February. If you wish to join the ladder, you can do so at any stage; however, you will not be added to a group until Round 4 begins.Remember, the ladder is a perfect way to work on improving your WTN.

Winter League phase 1 – Hard luck to Kate’s WD2 team, who were narrowly beaten in super doubles in their semi-final. A great campaign to be proud of. Huge congratulations to Cillian’s MD1 team, who have made it all the way to the finals for the second year in a row, what an achievement!  Finals take place over the weekend of 21st/22nd Feb. 

Winter League phase 2 – The group stages are well under way now. Best of luck to all seven teams. A reminder that training continues on Friday nights.

Junior Coaching, Events & News 

Tennis Munster Spring Junior Regional/Premier Leagues and Munster Junior Cups 2026  – Due to a shortage of girls, we are unable to enter as many teams as we had originally hoped. We have entered – Two teams in the U14 competition and are hopeful to enter one into the U11 Green Ball competition in the Regional League.

Whitechurch TC Box Ladder –  A Singles Ladder will be commencing in two weeks’ time. Due to the poor weather conditions currently, I felt it was best to wait and hope for improved conditions before starting. Further information on how and where to enter will follow shortly.

Junior Hitting Practice – Every Wednesday from 3-4pm & 4-5pm. A message will be shared on our junior community WhatsApp group at the beginning of the week with details on when you can book your place via e-booking. Thanks to our teenagers for supervising each week.

Junior Coaching – Currently in week 4 of a 10 week term.
