Senior Events & News 

Adult Coaching – Adult coaching will return week commencing Monday 12th January and will run for a 6-week term. We will be sending out further information tomorrow, Thursday 8th, outlining the classes that will be available. Looking ahead to 2026, we are planning to group our classes using players’ WTN (World Tennis Number). We hope this approach will allow members to coach with others of similar ability, while still providing an appropriate and challenging environment for all participants. Further details will follow shortly.

Social Club Nights –  Next Club nights are Thursday 15th Jan & Wednesday 28th Jan. A message will be shared on our community WhatsApp group at the beginning of the week with details on when you can book your place via e-booking.

Whitechurch TC Box Ladders – In light of the recent spell of poor weather and resulting court closures, I have extended the deadline for completing round 2 of both the Mixed and Singles ladder matches to Monday 12th January. If you wish to withdraw from the ladder, this can be done directly by yourself on TS. Winter League phase 1 – Best of luck to our WD3 and MD6 teams as they compete in their quarter-finals this weekend. Congratulations to our WD2 team on qualifying for the semi-finals — a fantastic achievement! Best of luck to our MD1 and WD1 who are still playing in the group stages. A reminder that training continues on Friday evenings.

Winter League phase 2 – We have entered 7 teams into Phase 2, with first-round matches commencing this weekend. Best of luck to all teams!  

Junior Coaching, Events & News 

Junior Coaching – Junior coaching will return on Monday 12th January and will run for a 10-week term. We would appreciate it if you could register your child in their class via e-booking as soon as possible. Early registration is important as it allows us to plan effectively with our coaches and allocate courts based on class numbers. Your assistance in registering promptly would be greatly appreciated. 

Junior Hitting Practice – Returns next Wednesday 14th January from 3-4pm & 4-5pm. A message will be shared on our junior community WhatsApp group at the beginning of the week with details on when you can book your place via e-booking. Thanks to our teenagers for supervising each week.

Tennis Munster Spring Junior Regional/Premier Leagues and Munster Junior Cups 2026  – We will be sending out further information with an expression of interest form in the coming days.  As our coaching programme continues to grow, we also hope that players participating in our programmes will become part of our club teams, allowing them to put what they learn into practice in real match scenarios.

Whitechurch TC Box Ladder –  I will be issuing a poll on the junior community WhatsApp group to gauge interest in starting a junior ladder. Please respond once it is issued.

Junior Sub Committee –  As a club, we are continually striving to increase participation, particularly within our junior membership. While we already have a strong junior programme, our goal this year is to see greater involvement in junior team competitions and to expand social activities for our juniors. With this in mind, we are reaching out to parents who may be interested in becoming more involved in organising junior social activities within the club. These would include fun events around Easter, Halloween, and Christmas, as well as supporting our Junior Closed and Open tournaments with activities during the events. If you would like to get involved or would like more information, please let us know.
