Dear Members,

I will be publishing a Captain’s monthly update going forward. The aim is to ensure that all our members are aware of all the tennis playing opportunities that are available in the club. See below a summary of events over the past month and some upcoming events. Please contact me if you have any questions or want to know more about anything tennis related.

Winter League Phase 1 – Delighted to say we have 3 teams into the finals: Our men’s grade 1, men’s grade 5 and men’s novice grade 6. The finals will take place over the weekend of 22nd/23rd Feb in Nenagh. Once we receive an order of play for the day, we will let all our members know. We are hoping that as as many members as possible will come along to support our great club on finals day.

Winter League Phase 2 – 6 teams entered. Currently in the group stages.

Whitechurch TC Box Ladders – We currently have 4 ladders running.  Men’s & ladies Doubles, Men’s & Ladies Singles and Junior Singles. These are a great way to get some competitive tennis, you organise your own match time so they work well around your own schedule. Please see Flex ladder | Tennis Ireland, you can enter or withdraw yourself at any point. Club Nights – Our club nights for the month of Feb are Thursday 6th & Thursday 21st from 7-9pm. A poll goes up on our
Whitechurch Tennis Community WhatsApp Announcements group on the Monday of the week, You tick the poll if you wish to attend. These are a great way to get to know other members of the club, especially if you are new to the club. On the night you will be paired with players of similar ability and play some matches, afterwards we have a cuppa/biscuit and chat. 

Winter league training nights – These take place every Friday evening for those teams that are selected and playing in the current phase of the Winter league. 

Whitechurch Senior Open 2025 – New date of Friday 25th April – Saturday 3rd May. 

Whitechurch Junior Tour 100 – Our first ever junior open will take place from Friday 26th September – 28th September.
